Publication Ethics
Jurnal Lingkungan Binaan Indonesia (JLBI) adapts the standards of publication ethics as stated in the Core Practices of the Committee of Publication Ethics (COPE). These include the policies regarding authorship and contributorship, the procedure for handling allegations of misconduct, handling of complaints and appeals, handling of conflicts of interests/competing interests, policies on data and reproducibility, ethical oversight, intellectual property, AI use, journal management, peer-review process, and post-publication discussions and corrections.
Jurnal Lingkungan Binaan Indonesia (JLBI) is managed and published by Ikatan Peneliti Lingkungan Binaan Indonesia established on March 17, 2011, and first published in March 2012. JLBI is a peer-reviewed scientific journal available in both online and print formats. It serves as a publication platform for Original Research Articles, Discourse/Review Articles, and Applied Research Studies in the field of built environment, covering: Landscape Architecture, Behavioral and Environmental Architecture, Development Management and Policy Development, Architectural Design, Urban Planning and Design, Regional and Rural Planning, Housing and Human Settlements, Building Science and Technology, Architectural/Urban History and Theory, Urban and Regional Infrastructure Systems, and other related built environment disciplines.
This publication ethics statement defines the ethical behavior expected of all parties involved in the publishing process of JLBI: the journal manager/publisher, editors, peer reviewers, and authors. This policy is aligned with the Regulation of the Head of the Indonesian Institute of Sciences (LIPI) No. 5/2014 on Scientific Publication Ethics, alongside the international Core Practices of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).
JLBI upholds three fundamental values of publication ethics:
-
Neutrality: Independence and freedom from conflicts of interest in managing publications.
-
Fairness: Respecting authorship rights and granting authorship strictly to eligible contributors.
-
Integrity & Honesty: Ensuring published works are free from duplication, fabrication, falsification, plagiarism, and undisclosed AI manipulation.
After reading this Publication Ethics policy, authors are required to download, sign, and upload the Scientific Publication Ethics Clearance Statement Form and Copyright & Licensing Statement Form during manuscript submission.
